PROUDLY SERVING FLORIDA'S HEARTLAND AND TREASURE COAST

A Look at Geothermal HVAC Systems and Their Benefits

Geothermal energy is created from the natural heat that comes from within the earth. Homeowners can use this energy to create a source of heating to generate electricity. For example, molten rock and magma found deep below the earth’s crust heats up underground water reserves and forms geothermal reservoirs. Geothermal systems utilize these reservoirs to provide heat and electricity to homes in Vero Beach, Florida. Here’s what else you should know about geothermal systems:

How Geothermal HVAC Systems Work

Geothermal heat pumps are HVAC systems that employ the earth’s stabilized temperature to both heat and cool homes. Below the earth’s surface, the relatively constant temperature measures about 50 degrees Fahrenheit year round.

In geothermal systems, a senior service technician lays a series of pipes underground. Water and other liquids circulate through these pipes. The pipes also collect and transfer heat, moving it in and out of a building via a duct system.

In warm weather, the process reverses. The geothermal system collects and transfers the heat in a home through the duct system by the liquid in the pipes. It then moves it underground, thereby cooling down the inside of the building.

The Benefits of Geothermal HVAC Systems

Geothermal HVAC systems have a number of decided advantages over traditional heating and cooling systems. One of the most significant benefits is that they’re. The water used to generate this type of energy moves back underground repeatedly, and it’s used again and again. In Stuart, Florida, geothermal systems help homeowners conserve energy, save money and stay comfortable all year.
